Fore Putt Scoring

Privacy Policy

Last updated August 27, 2026

Short version: we hold the minimum needed to run your tournament, the organizer is the one who enters it, anyone with your tournament link can see it, and we will delete it if you ask.

What we collect

From organizers: an email address, used to send the six-digit sign-in code and nothing else. No password is ever created or stored.

About players: whatever the organizer enters — name, optional handicap index, which tee they play, group, and an optional Venmo handle. Players do not create accounts and we do not ask them for anything directly.

During play: hole-by-hole scores, who changed a score and when, bet types and stakes, and the resulting settlement figures.

What we do not collect

No payment details, ever — money does not move through Fore Putt Scoring. No location or GPS data. No advertising trackers, and we do not sell or share anything with advertisers.

Who can see your tournament

This is the part worth reading twice. A tournament is reachable by anyone holding its link. The links are long and unguessable, so they will not be stumbled upon, but they are not password protected — that is deliberate, because it is what lets your group join without downloading an app or making an account.

Player names, handicaps, scores, and settlement amounts are visible to anyone with the leaderboard link. Venmo handles appear only on the organizer's settlement view. If you would rather a player's real name not appear on a public page, enter a nickname.

Where it is stored

Data is held in Supabase (database and authentication) and the site is served by Vercel, both in the United States. Sign-in and contact email is sent through Resend. Course scorecard data comes from GolfCourseAPI. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Deleting your data

An organizer can ask us to delete a tournament and everything in it — players, scores, bets, and settlement records. Email hello@foreputtscoring.com from the address the account uses and we will remove it, normally within a few days.

If you are a player rather than the organizer and want your name off a tournament, ask your organizer first — they can change it directly. If that does not work, write to us.

Children

Fore Putt Scoring is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Organizers entering junior players should use first names or initials.

Changes

We will update this page as the product changes, and the date at the top will move with it.
